My Get Fit 90 Day Challenge Update
So it is end of May and I just realized I never gave you all an update on the conclusion of my get fit 90 day challenge. I’ll give you a quick update and keep this post short and sweet.
I started it because I was looking to get fit and healthier. I needed to regain some energy. Also, quite honestly, I wanted to put my home biz products to the test. I advertise for a wellness company that has a wide range of products which include products that support weight loss. The company started this challenge knowing so many people with a new year’s resolution to lose weight would lose momentum early in the year. They put together facebook groups so people could encourage each other. They gave away prizes. It was fun!
If you recall, I gave you my plan for undergoing this challenge. I mainly shared it to keep myself accountable, although I always hope that my experiences may help someone else. Well I followed it for the most part . . . . unfortunately, my will power was not strong enough to consistently follow the eating plan I had envisioned. I did use the shakes and bars. I exercised consistently, although not with too much structure.
In the end . . . . . I LOST 10 LBS!!! Not too shabby. I’m pretty sure those yummy products actually helped 😉
Granted, I’ve since gained about 3 lbs. Towards the end of the challenge, I lost my momentum. I lost my motivation. I got side tracked . . . . WHY? Well many things came into play but one major obstacle threw me for a loop. I’m not quite ready to share that here, but I will soon.
One thing is for sure . . . A month after the challenge ended, I’ve jumped on the healthy eating band wagon stronger than ever. I’m ready to reclaim my health and shun the demons of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and whatever other health issue that lingers over so many of us ready to attack . . . FOREVER. I’m ready to be purposeful in ALL I do, including my cooking and eating.
To top it all off, my husband got super excited about a new product line the company released that he decided to FINALLY join me in my health quest. Don’t get me wrong, he’s always been super disciplined about exercising. But food . . . well that’s always been our fun. It was a bit of a tough sell for him, until now.
Hubby is super excited to pump his muscles up again, eat healthy, and supplement his nutrition. He is so excited that he wants to do a challenge with me . . . just the two of us . . . with the goal of returning to the weight we were at when we met, but look sexier 😉 He’s calling it the FLASHBACK challenge. So stay tuned for those adventures!
Thanks for joining me on this journey!!! Are you on a health related journey as well? Please share in the comments!
